Google AI Mode will reach more than 180 countries and territories today, as Google broadens the experimental search experience beyond early launches in the US, UK, and India. The company framed the push as a step toward a more capable search interface that can reason across the web, tailor answers to personal context, and help users move from results to real-world actions. Google said the expansion starts in English, with more languages and regions promised soon.

Google AI Mode: Massive 180-country rollout, powerful agentic tools

Google AI Mode global rollout

Google defined AI Mode as a special tab within Search in which individuals can pose complex questions and follow numerous steps with acknowledged answers.  The rollout makes that interface available to over 180 countries and territories in English, which allows it to reach far more people than were served by the testing markets. The company claims that AI Mode includes the ability to accept questions that have no clear answer, are open-ended, and can be answered through reasoning and comparison, as well as includes linked sources next to each answer to verify it.

Reporting about the expansion today in industry news sources also pointed to the magnitude of the expansion and the English-first design. In Google Labs announcement, it was stressed that AI Mode is an experimental feature. Availability and feature sets may differ by region and subscription, and more capabilities will be restricted to paying US customers at launch. Google will keep on supplementing additional countries and updating the list of availability in the future.

The Google AI Mode has agentic reservations

Google added the initial agentic feature into AI Mode around the AI Ultra tier in the United States. In a press release and blog post the company explained that users can input their preferences and limitations of the type of restaurant, date, time, location, cuisine and dietary requirement, and be presented with a list of restaurants with immediate availability. AI Mode is directly connected to the booking page associated with the relevant booking, thus the user can complete the booking

Partner integrations listed in Google that include OpenTable, Resy, Tock, Ticketmaster, StubHub, SeatGeek, and Booksy the corporation said it plans to expand agentic support to local services bookings and event tickets as well. The behind-the-scenes arrangement by Google is described as Project Mariner. The report said that Mariner blends live web browsing with Google Knowledge Graph, Maps listings and trusted partner data to compile options and available time periods. Google framed this agentic work as premature yet practical, targeting initially a high-need use case with signal and transaction pathways.

Google AI Mode personalization features

In the US, AI Mode will begin to make personalized suggestions to dining-related queries. According to Google, the system is able to leverage the history of prior conversations, along with the Search and Maps history of a user- provided they are enrolled in the AI Mode Lab- and infer tastes, including cuisine preferences and seat preferences. The company emphasised the account level controls and stated that individuals can change the level of context being shared anytime.

On the coverage today, it has been stated that personalization in Labs is opt-in and it will start with restaurants and cafes. An example of a common dialog showed a user requesting to be suggested something to eat in an hour, and the learned preferences enter into the responses generated by AI Mode. The intent is to reduce the amount of back and forth that is necessary in order to find a workable option. The final booking is done on the merchant page after the link has been provided by AI Mode.

Sharing links in on the Google AI Mode

Google is including the ability to share, which will allow US users to create a link to an AI Mode result. The share option is on the same row as the feedback controls at the end of a response. Recipients will be able to open the link and push their own follow-ups, Google added. The company added that individuals can see and remove their shared licenses anytime. Reporters reported the new connections are in the form of share.google/aimode/… style as in public Gemini conversations.

The distinction that Google brought to sharing was the idea that it would allow advances in joint research, like planning meals, comparing restaurants or arranging group events, without the copying of text or screenshots. The feature comes at a time when the company is expanding the functionality of AI Mode beyond a lonesome searching partner into a collaborative point of decision.

Google AI Mode access details

AI Mode is available on its own tab in Search, where users can type, speak, take a photo or upload an image or PDF in order to initiate a conversation. Recent enhancements include Search Live video input with Google Lens access and Canvas to plan as well as desktop Chrome now having an option to call AI Mode using Google Lens on a page. These are input modes that make AI Mode a location where text, images and video may drive a single and continuous thread. Labs is also available to Google AI subscribers to view Deep Research reports

Google characterized Deep Research as an agentic feature being able to search through hundreds of sources and assemble a fully referenced report of professional quality. The firm added that the work is driven by Gemini 2.5 which enhances planning and synthesis of longer contexts. In July, it was reported that US Labs users who have Pro or Ultra accounts can get to access more advanced research features in AI Mode.

What Google and reports say

In the current materials, Google has pitched the launch of services in 180 countries as an opportunity to allow more users to test the AI Mode in its ability to reason and compare. The agentic restaurant case was also linked to a continuous roadmap by the company that focuses on other low hanging fruit. Industry publications echoed those details citing the English-only expansion, the US-first approach to agentic and personalization functionality and the partner list covering reservation and ticketing systems.

Reporters also pointed at restraints The agent can search tables and access booking pages but they are not able to make reservation on behalf of a user at its launch. The feature is in Google Labs as an Agentic abilities in AI-Ultra type of AI subscribers in the US. As Google begins to conduct tests to more services and events, the company will be confronted by various processes and data sources, which can determine how rapidly agentic support increases.
