Google has lowered the price of its Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast video generation models, and it offers new features to creators. The two models are both in a stable state and are now scaled to be produced in large quantities with the Gemini API and are no longer in the testing phase. The update is based on better resolution and vertical video support, and the price per second is reduced. The modifications indicate the attempts of Google to ensure that its video creation applications become easier to use among developers and companies all over the world.
Low Pricing Makes the Generation of Videos More Affordable
Google declared that Veo 3 is now priced at per-second on output of videos and audio at a lower rate of $0.40 as compared to $0.75. Cheaper still is Veo 3 Fast, which is at a rate of $0.15 per second compared to the earlier 0.40 per second. These new prices, the company has confirmed, are in effect. Google states that the price reduction is meant to make video generation cheaper as the models move into production-level usage.
The blog post has indicated that both Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast are now stable and can be used in scaled production. The models are capable of handling larger workloads (previously, they could only handle workloads in a paid preview). Making it less expensive was a move that, experts in the industry said, would stimulate adoption in marketing, media, and educational uses.
Better Quality and Resolution Viewing
The new update also includes new support for video quality and aspect ratio. Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast now play-out vertical 9:16 videos, which are useful with social media and mobile-first content. This format can be enabled by the developers using the Gemini API with the aspectRatio parameter set at 9:16.
In the past, Veo 3 was capable of producing 4K videos, but the Gemini API was capped at 720p. This has been changed because currently, 1080p video output is possible by changing the parameter of resolution to 1080p. This option is presently only compatible with the 16:9 aspect ratio. Google claimed that these features assist creators in making higher-quality videos with more realistic visuals and adhering to them more promptly.
Adapted Features increase Innovative Control
According to Google, Veo 3 can be upgraded in a few ways in comparison to Veo 2. These are enhanced real-world physics, enhanced realism and enhanced prompt adherence. The model can convert still images to videos and come out with synchronised audio. These features are aimed at facilitating the creative processes and generating videos more precisely. Google underlined that the updates enhance the quality and usability of production. Increased creative control, resolution and broader format support enable the developers to explore new forms and content of video.
Extended Implementation and Practical Application
Veo 3 was initially launched by Google at the 2025 developer conference of I/O as competition to Sora by OpenAI. The model was initially present in 70 countries, followed by 140 countries and regions. In July 2025, a paid public preview of the Gemini API and Vertex AI was launched.
Since that time, Veo 3 has been used to drive a variety of applications. These are eight-second video generation in Gemini, Google Vids, Flow and the Photo to video option in Google Photos. According to analysts, the ability of Google to boost its presence in generative video is due to cheap prices and better features. The models are also more appealing to real-world content creation because of mobile-optimised formats and an increase in the quality of outputs.
